is a cohort style social enterprise accelerator program which aims to create modern social businesses that are driven by a balance between profits and impact. The program is designed to identify early-stage entrepreneurs who have identified a problem they are interested in solving and have developed a solution/idea to resolve that problem.

The Livelihood curriculum is curated in a way to meet the needs of young people in high school, TVET institutions, and those who are Out of School. The curriculum provides in-depth leadership, personal development, entrepreneurship, and resilience skills that empower young people to create jobs, contribute to improved living standards, and reduce poverty.

About This Program

The Jon Freeman School of Social Entrepreneurship is a flagship initiative of YOCEL designed to build acceleration capacity to spur the generation of social enterprises throughout Liberia.

The program is built on the entrepreneurial spirit mindset and philosophy of Mr. Jon Freeman, who continues to provide ‘hand up’ philanthropy by supporting social enterprises and women’s education initiatives that empower people to lift themselves out of poverty.
